McKenna is a licensed professional counselor in training who believes that healing begins with safe, trusting relationships. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, with minors in Child and Adolescent Studies and Therapeutic Recreation, before completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marquette University, specializing in Child and Adolescent Counseling.

She received advanced training at Children’s Wisconsin, where she worked with children and families navigating trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, and life transitions.

McKenna specializes in supporting young children (birth to age eight) and their families through a strengths-based, integrative approach. She utilizes evidence-based practices alongside creative, play-based interventions to foster resilience, confidence, and healthy connections. Her style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when children feel safe, valued, and empowered.

Her goal is to partner with families to overcome challenges and build lasting emotional well-being.
